About Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse
Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse arrives on Friday 18 June 2027, over Father's Day weekend in the United States. It is the third and final part of Sony's animated trilogy, picking up the cliffhanger that ended Across the Spider-Verse in 2023.
The wait has been long and public. The film was first dated for March 2024, then pulled indefinitely during the 2023 writers' and actors' strikes, and only regained a firm slot at CinemaCon in 2025. Sony has since shifted it within 2027 before locking 18 June — the filmmakers have repeatedly said the priority is finishing it properly rather than meeting a date.
This is the next Spider-Man film on the release calendar. Spider-Man: Brand New Day, the live-action entry, opened on 31 July 2026; no follow-up to it has been dated.
The countdown runs to midnight UTC on 18 June 2027.
